Just minutes ago watching television, the news reports that President bush has decided to send 8200 more troops to Iraq and Afghanistan. With this new report President Bush is requesting for more than 3.2 Billion dollars in funding to support his new move. It is ridiculous that he has decided to send more troops and spend more money on a blind war. It is no wonder how the nation is in such debt with the way Bush has sent troops again and again spending countless millions and billions of dollars in doing so. Us as people should not allow this to happen or we will not see a end to the war.

Useless spendings
Knowing that the state of national debt is already high, we have to wonder why the government still passes bills for useless stuff, while not doing enough for ones that are necessary. For example the government passed a bill called the "Weed it out" program. My question is why would you need to grant money for a program to give money to get rid of useless weeds, when you can use this money to fund the troops in Iraq or use money to spend on disaster relief. It should be appropriate that we as people should put a stop to the useless spending, with our tax dollars. Its time to put a stop, wheter its protesting or start to let more people know. things should be done to let Americans know that their tax money have gone to waste and not used for better things that will help the country.

Wheres the cash?

What has happened now that our federal government uses so much money in such a short time. It is fact that the economy does not make enough for the federal government. The federal government grows as much as 8 times faster than the economy. So what has sparked this radical increase? The problem is the increased rate of people who depend on the government's money. Everyone is ready to line up and cash in to get money that is given out. The budget has been abuse and as a result now. In the last fiscal year the federal government spent $2.8 Trillion on men, women and child in America. This is a 6% increase from the prior year, is it time for use young people to start and worry that when its time for us to need the federal government to come to aid us that they won't be able to.

Should the Federal Government spend more on education?
Who says our education is important.... It sure seems like the federal government doesn't really. Most of the money that is put into financing our education comes from the state and local gov. Of the almost 373 billion used to funds schools, only 27 billion dollars. With all the money in the gov, can't we as students expect more money to be spent on us. With more funding a lot of good can be made, from new classrooms, to much need supplies, to the teachers getting a pay increase. The public education system is in dire need for help, to fix up schools and provide a better learning environment. Lets all me serious here. The schools we go to now are in horrible shape. With a little more funding and more support we can go a long way to being in a classroom that we might actually find comfort in.

National Debt

With new information coming out, it is said that the national debt is at $8.8 Trillion. With the way things are and money being use in poor ways it will be interesting to see how the government will act to fix the debt.
People have come to question, is the debt causing the country to collapse. Examples can be found from the disaster of katrina, to the rebuilding of the world trade. Funds to support these disasters have been given but not nearly enough, and when there is funds being given, there is fraud and many distractions that come with it. Most funds are used in wasted actions that do no good. So has our state really fallen into such a debt that we as a country cannot step together and find a fix for this problem.

How much is really being spent on war

Sure everyone pays income tax, but do you rally know how this money is being spent. According to the book "Budget of the United States Government Fiscal Year 2008" of the $2,387 billion in federal funds 1228 billion is used for military spendings, that is 51% of the funds being spent on the military.
Knowing that funding for the war is important is it really necessary for the federal government to shell out more than half its funding for Military use. I am sure that if they used less of this money on war, the money can be put to use on other issues that come up within the states. It should also be noted that the government has started to combine both federal and trust funds to make the human needs portion of the chart seem larger than the military portion. Even with this the military spendings are so high, should us as Americans be worried if we are gonna be forced to pay more for a case many don't support?
